Happy with Covid SOP’s being followed, Students demand proper heating facility during exams
With the ongoing winter chill and the secondary school examination in the valley, many student from different parts of Kashmir complained of non-availability of heating arrangements during exams. Recently J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) notified annual exam dates for 10th and 12th classes in Kashmir and winter zones of Jammu and the class 10th examination commencement from November 9 and class 12th from November 10 to December 9. This being the winter season, rains an snow lash upper parts of valley with increase in chill.
Students going through exams have complain about the lack of heating arrangements in exam centres.
“We are facing many difficulties mostly regarding heating arrangement and it becomes difficult for us to write exam papers” Said Tajamul Hassan, 12th class student.
“Covid-19 SOP’s are being followed and we are happy about it but heating facility should be given equal importance” He added.
Students from Government Higher Secondary School Brackpora and Iqbal Memorial Senior secondary school in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district also camplain of heating facilities.While school management assured proper heating facility will be provided to student.
“We are being provided with masks here and also go through thermal scanning before entering in exam centre” Said Burhaan Majeed, student from Hardtooru Anantnag
“We are doing our best to maintain SOP’s , even we are providing them with free masks and students do have responsibility on their part to follow SOP’s” Said G.M. Dar, Principal IMI Brackpora.
“As for as heating is concerned, there are some issue, we will be trying our best to solve issue soon and students will not face any such problem anymore” He added
